Getting engaged is an exciting time of your life. Planning the perfect wedding is fun and something that you’ll remember for the rest of your life. There are so many decisions to make and one of the most important is when you want to get married.
One thing to consider when planning your wedding is the time of year. The day you get married is not just the day you get married — it’s the day that will be celebrated each year after that as you celebrate your anniversary. As you plan your big day, think about what time of year you’d like to celebrate your anniversary. For example, if you decide to be romantic and get married on Valentine’s Day, then every year you will have to fight the other V-day celebrators as they buy romantic cards and flowers for their lover. Prices will be higher for roses and it’s not the best time of year for traveling unless you head to a tropical location.
If you plan to get married in the fall, this is a beautiful time of year, but you’ll also have to remember that when your kids are in school, it might not be an easy time to take off for a romantic getaway with your sweetheart. Not only are summers great because of the warmer weather, but they’re also nice for years later when you want to get away. If you have kids, you’ll more likely be able to send them to a relative’s house while you escape with your spouse.
